Web 2.0 adoption on the way (next will be mobile)

The universal appeal and avaibility of internet have never been so close.

According to IDC’s ‘Digital Marketplace Model and Forecast’ more than 25% of the world’s population (1,4 billion people) is using internet daily, and this number is going to grow up and reach quote 30% (2 billion people) by 2012.

Internet users have evolved too: besides search, shop and check the email, people use the net for more Web 2.0 oriented activities. Today internet users are more attracted with the possibility of posting blogs, participate in social networks, watch self-made videos and accessing business applications. And most important: these users are going mobile. In 2008 more than 8% (546 million) of users wil access internet throught a mobile device, and this number will grow to 25% (1,5 billion) users in 2012. Great numbers that are going to enhance mobile advertising possibilities and boost worldwide speding on internet advertising. If in 2008 internet advertising will total $65.2 billion, nearly 10% of all ad spending across all media, it will reach 13.6% ($106.6 billion) by 2011.

Finallly we are using Web 2.0 at its full potential. Now is time to mobilize it.
